Self forgiveness for our past mistakes and our past failures is a necessary action for healing to occur and so you can get to moving on with life. There are many things in our lives that we are not proud of. There are things that we have done, past mistakes that we have made. We all have suffered past failures that have left us feeling much less than loved. Self forgiveness is the only thing that can help break the horrible chains of our oppression from guilt and allow for healing to occur.

The past mistakes we have made do not have to bind us to our depression, nor do our past failures need to define us in an unfavorable or negative way. We are all very capable of learning from our past mistakes and becoming stronger as a result of our past failures. Self forgiveness is the first step to healing and loving ourselves. Moving on after accepting our misgivings can help us to love ourselves more then we may have at times of grief and self pity.

Every man, woman and child on the planet can benefit from self forgiveness. Our past mistakes and our past failures are great opportunities to learn and to grow. Self forgiveness is our only path to healing when we have suffered on our own accounts. Moving on leads to self love and self love is the greatest asset we have in all of our life.

Self love is one of the most important things about life. There is no reason to feel guilty about loving yourself nor should you feel selfish for it. Do you feel that you need to learn to love yourself more? There are many wonderful and relatively small things each person can do to boost their level of self love and none involve feeling guilty or being selfish.

  • Discover the traits you love about yourself - Do you have pretty eyes or a cute nose? Are you good at cooking or painting? Find out what things you value and love about yourself and never feel guilty about being good at something.
  • Improve the traits you don’t love about yourself - Improving upon yourself is a sure fire way to learn to love yourself at the same time.  Do you think you could lose a few pounds or want to quit smoking? It is never selfish to improve yourself for any reason. Whatever it may be that you want to perk up, progressing in life always leave one with a feeling of self love.
  • Are you loved by others - Assess the relationships you share with other people and get a firm grasp of how they feel about you. Knowing that you are loved by the people around you, in the way you want to be loved, is a wonderful tool for building self love.
  • Do something for you everyday – Working and keeping your family is great and can leave you feeling fulfilled but if you don’t give yourself attention you could get lost. Make whatever is something only for you. Cleaning the closet doesn’t count. You could even choose activities that will help you learn to love yourself like joining a support group or doing yoga. Never feel selfish about taking time for yourself.
  • Keep up with a good diet and exercise plan – You cannot love yourself or learn to love yourself if you are sick and out of shape. Being healthy is essential to self love and never a reason to feel guilty.
